The Sunshine Blogger Award

You won’t believe me but I was actually dominated for this award only 1 DAY after The Liebster Award and I felt so overwhelmed. Was it a coincidence? Maybe. Or maybe someone spotted me on the list for The Liebster Award, who knows. No matter what or how I’m grateful and so stoked to have recieved this award. For those of you who aren’t familiar The Sunshine Blogger Award is rewarded those who are creative, positive and inspiring while spreading sunshine to the blogging community. I’d like to thank Johana @ Book Marauder for the nomination.

QUESTIONS FROM JOHANA

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE SEASON AND WHY?

I’m having a hard time choosing between Spring and Summer. I love Spring because that’s when my birthday is, it’s perfect weather to go on walks without overheating and the sun comes back and so does the vitamin D. Everything is light green and new.

I love Summer because it’s the only time of year where I’m not cold most of the time, and if it’s a good Summer then you can swim in the ocean which is always amazing. I love the long Summer nights where it’s not really dark even at midnight and the fact that you don’t need to bring a jacket or put one on when you go outside.

WHAT IS YOUR HAPPIEST MEMORY?

Oh God, uhm… My most recent happiest memory is the day my now fiancé proposed to me (you can read all about that here). It has been the only thing beating the day that I knew I was in love with him.

IF YOU COULD HAVE TEA WITH YOUR FAVOURITE AUTHOR, WHO WOULD IT BE? AND WHAT WOULD YOUR FIRST QUESTION BE?

Well, my favourite author is J. K. Rowling. Why she would take her time to sit and have tea with me I don’t know. And the question? Hm, the problem is that I’m bad with questions – or functioning properly in front of strangers. I honestly don’t know what I would ask her. I’m sure she’s heard every question in the universe. Or maybe I’d ask her to sign my Potter books. That seems reasonable, right? Oo, or perhaps write an unpublished quote of hers!

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE YOUR YOUNGER SELF?

To not listen to my mom when she says that I’m too sensitive and need to toughen up. To be proud of who I am and the fact that I have the ability to be both sympathetic and empathethic.

YOUR FAVOURITE BLOG POST?

In general or of mine? I have to go with my own, then, because if not there are too many great blog posts to choose from. It’s not my most popular but to this date I’m still most proud of A Tragic Family Tale. I put my heart and soul into that one and it is probably one of my best researched blog posts (or essays). Not only that, it is the blog post/essay that made me start my blog in the first place so it means a lot to me.

HOW DO YOU ORGANISE YOUR BOOKSHELVES/KINDLE?

I don’t have a Kindle, and my bookshelves are organised by theme.

ONE UNIQUE AND STRANGE FACT ABOUT YOURSELF?

Oh fuck! Why does it have to be both unique AND strange? Uhm… Perhaps the fact that I don’t consider myself fluent in English even though everybody else does.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 5 YEARS TIME?

In a perfect world I would be married to Mr English, have a house and a child, or at least be pregnant with out first child.

RIGHTY OR LEFTY?

Well, I’m right-handed.

DO YOU MAKE DECISIONS BASED ON YOUR HEAD OR HEART?

Both, depending on what the decision is. If it has something to do with finances and money then my heart has nothing to say. But when it comes to relationships etc. then my heart usually controls the show.

WHAT IS YOUR PERFECT LIBRARY DESIGN?

One where only a handful of people have access. I like it to be quiet. That’s really all I care about. That and perhaps the smell, haha.
